Training objective :
This 150-hour certification enables students to acquire over 30 different embroidery techniques and achieve a recognized professional level in art embroidery. You will craft a learning piece meticulously selected for the panel of techniques that it addresses. This training course is open to all, beginner and advanced embroiderers alike.
However, it is strongly recommended that anyone who is not yet familiar with the Lunéville hook to take a 12-hours "Luneville Hook Initiation" course beforehand.
Prerequisites:
Mastery of basic embroidery techniques, such as traditional embroidery stitches.
Mastery of embroidery technique using the needle and the Lunéville hook.
Public:
All (over 18).
Access time:
Following an individual interview, a customized schedule is drawn up within 15 days and sent by e-mail, depending on the learner's availability and, above all, on the number of places still vacant.
Assessment:
1 - Preparation for in-course assessment
Individual practical work in a classroom at the Ecole Lesage. Candidates create a study piece using the various techniques of the Lunéville hook and with the needle.
The evaluation is based on the assessment of all techniques.
2- Final assessment (jury) at the end of the course
Duration: 1 h maximum/candidate
In a classroom at Ecole Lesage, the members of the jury examine and evaluate the study piece produced. They then interview the candidate to finalize the assessment. During the interview, the candidate is invited to present and explain specific techniques.
Candidates are asked to describe in detail how these techniques are implemented, highlighting precise gestures, the methods used, points to watch out for and quality criteria, etc.
Certified skills:
C1- Based on an analysis of the technical drawing, identify the particular characteristics of the embroidery to be produced, in order to select and prepare the support to be embroidered, the equipment and the materials required.
C2- Mount the fabric on the embroidery frame, adjust the frame and the workstation in order to implement the embroidery techniques on a well-positioned support and in optimal conditions.
C3- Embroider with the needle and Lunéville hook, applying embroidery techniques to produce high-quality embroidered work.
C4- Carry out finishing procedures on the embroidery to obtain a work of quality conforming to expected specifications.
Gives rise to a certification of competence "Techniques de broderie d'Art" registered under N°RS6333

Teaching methods:
Face-to-face.
An embroidery frame is obligatory to pursue the work after class. It is included in the price.
Training is broken down into 3-hour session. The session is a 100% hands-on workshop. The maximum number of students per teacher is 6. The teaching method is totally individualized. A teacher, focusing on six students of various levels, will initiate you into various artistic embroidery techniques and follow up on your work and step-by-step progress.
Materials supplied:
An embroidery frame (compulsory for progress outside class), the study piece, all supplies needed for the course, small tools.
Requirements:
An initial encounter makes it possible to propose the course that best corresponds with your project and skill level. A schedule is then tailored to your availabilities and the remaining vacant seats.
Accessibility :
A training course may begin at any time of year. All the courses are valid for one year from the registration date. Courses are given in French but for foreign students, they are given in English.
