Ecole Lesage has established partnerships with other great fashion, design and management schools to raise students’ awareness of traditional craftsmanship.

Design students and the future managers of luxury and fashion houses are invited to discover the history and economy of traditional craftsmanship, and in particular Maison Lesage, through specially conceived modules.

These learning modules, ranging from a half-day to a full day, invite the future managers of fashion and luxury houses to explore the challenges and reality of traditional craftsmanship through theoretical and practical lessons.

Inseparable from the history of Haute Couture and luxury ready-to-wear since it was founded, Maison Lesage joined the Chanel Métiers d’art in 2002.  Today, it continues to develop as part of the Paraffection subsidiary, which includes thirty-three workshops and production sites such as Lemarié, Massaro, Goossens and Michel. While upholding its unique patrimony and expertise, this arrangement enables each of these prestigious houses to develop and innovate with a serene outlook on the future.

This is what we enable students to discover in a concrete way through the history and economy of traditional craftsmanship, and in particular the Maison Lesage, through an initiation to embroidery. Students get opportunity to better understand the concrete reality of traditional arts and crafts. This knowledge will clearly be an asset for their future careers in the fashion industry.  Most often, content from the module is taken from the existing courses of partner schools.
