To train at the prestigious Ecole Lesage is to be invited to share in more than a century and a half of ever-renewed enthusiasm, talent and expertise. It means getting a chance to learn the techniques mastered \u2013 and, in some cases, invented \u2013 by one of the world\u2019s greatest artistic embroidery houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fran\u00e7ois Lesage<\/a> knew that he was in charge of exceptional expertise and was eager to share it, so he decided to found a school in 1992. Since then, more than 4,000 students from all over the world, both amateur and professional, have come to study embroidery at our school. They have enjoyed training tailored to their skill levels provided by exceptional embroiderers, some of whom work in the famous Maison Lesage workshops. Each student carries away a little of the extraordinary history of the Maison Lesage: one that is indissociable from the great names in fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Albert and Marie-Louise took over the Michonet embroidery workshop founded in 1858, and their son, Fran\u00e7ois, succeeded to them at barely twenty years of age. Each member of the Lesage family contributed to the success of the most sought-after fashion collections. The heirs of an age-old expertise, they have continued to innovate in order to provide for the exacting, modern requirements of their illustrious principals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The archives of the Maison Lesage is the largest collection of artistic embroidery in the world with 75,000 samples. It features creations that have brightened the most incredible fashion shows of Madeleine Vionnet, Elsa Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix and all the famous Couture houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each season the collection grows to include exceptional samples of pieces that the Maison Lesage embroiderers continue to create for Chanel, Valentino, Christian Dior, and the new talents in Haute Couture and luxury ready-to-wear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through their renowned training courses, it is this treasure that the enthusiastic instructors of Ecole Lesage invite you to discover. Under their expert supervision, you will learn to embroider pieces specially designed for the techniques they address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
